About us
Who we are
The Liberian UniPod is a pod for innovation, creativity, and collaboration at the University of Liberia – Fendell Campus. The pod was established as part of the UNDP Africa Timbuktoo Initiative. This groundbreaking project spans 11 African countries and is designed to empower university students to engage in innovation and design thinking. UniPod is a vibrant, welcoming space where students, entrepreneurs, and innovators can experiment, collaborate, and create impactful solutions for Liberia’s unique challenges.
What We Actually Do
At the UniPod, we provide Liberian students and youth with the tools, resources, and guidance they need to transform ideas into impactful solutions. Through access to our solar-powered, state-of-the-art facilities—including the Design Lab, Makerspace, and Collaborative Space—we empower students and young entrepreneurs with practical skill-building workshops, expert mentorship, and valuable networking opportunities.
Our spaces are equipped with modern tools like 3D printers, digital media equipment, and advanced workstations tailored for engineering, agriculture, business, and more.
By blending technical expertise, digital skills, and community-driven initiatives, we aim to equip the next generation of social innovators with the tools to transform Liberia and beyond.
